Love your neighbor as yourself.- Mark 12:31
This just hits home. We are all broken people. I wish people would have a heart that would look at a person and see them as a soul. Whether we know such a person or not, imagine how much it would mean if we consider how broken everyone secretly is. Couldn’t this world be a more loving and caring place instead of a place where people criticize and judge, if we saw how vulnerable and similar we all are?
But instead all we do is judge and talk down about people due to what we see and percieve, but in fact, our judgement is only a reflection of the very insecurities that we are fighting everyday.
This reminds me of Matthew 9:35-38, and verse 36:
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Let us learn from the Father who loves each and every one of us so dearly and learn to LOOK at people with compassion. Look at the million of broken people around you and love and care for them. For God knows that the harvest is abundant with those who are in need, and He calls for us to labor and to work to love those who are in need.
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”- Matthew 9:37-38
